Our clinic created Minor & James Medical Cares to promote participation in charitable events by our employees. The employees are asked for input on which events to support clinic-wide. And, if an employee wants to build a team for an event that isn’t sponsored by the clinic, Minor & James will provide team t-shirts for everyone on their team and help with fundraising.
Minor & James Medical strives to participate and support as many charitable events as possible every year. |
Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission

|
Mike Milligan, an M&J employee, organized a coat drive for Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission (UGM). We were overwhelmed by the response! All of our coat barrels were overflowing! And, we also raised enough in cash donations to pay for 15 Thanksgiving dinners for UGM clients. UGM supports youth, families, inmates, individuals in recovery, and the elderly in our community. Their goal is to provide a bridge to self-sufficiency.

Puget Sound Blood Bank Fundraiser

|
Dr. John Verrilli, an internist at Minor & James Medical, took a brisk swim across Lake Washington to promote blood donation and to raise funds for the Puget Sound Blood Bank. The Tenth Annual Swim for Life Lake Washington Swim started at Medina Beach and continued for 2.25 miles across Lake Washington to Madison Park Beach on Wednesday, August 8. He is proud to say he finished the swim in 1 hour 31 minutes with a 6 mph wind on the course.
Thirty-four people swam the lake to help raise awareness and money for the Puget Sound Blood Bank. This was Dr. John Verrilli’s second year participating in the Swim for Life.
