Dr. Ruud is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in internal medicine, preventative medicine and women's health.

Her patient/physician philosophy is as follows: "I feel my role as a primary care physician includes collaborating with my patients to make educated choices about their health concerns and prevention of disease. I also enjoy getting to know my patients and learning about other things in their lives that can often affect health and well being both positively and negatively!"

Her personal interests include spending time with her husband, two daughters and son. She also enjoys traveling, skiing, reading, and her pets. She is active with the American College of Physicians Washington Chapter and enjoys teaching medical students and residents whenever possible.
