The Gastroenterology Division at Minor & James Medical includes nine physicians and 14 nurses who are specialists in Adult Gastroenterology, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology (liver conditions), and Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Our board-certified physicians diagnose and treat conditions such as heartburn (gastroesophageal reflux disease), stomach ulcers, swallowing problems, gallbladder stones, pancreatitis, hepatitis and other liver problems, and intestinal problems such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and diarrhea and constipation. Our staff physicians are also experts in screening for and treating colon polyps and colon cancer. Our physicians at Minor & James Medical include leaders and members of national organizations, including the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Minor & James Medical has a Medicare-certified Ambulatory Surgery Center where diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are conveniently performed on an outpatient basis. Procedures we perform include flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, and liver biopsy. Our modern endoscopy equipment utilizes the latest video technology which allows us to view the internal areas of the body to prevent, diagnose, and treat gastrointestinal conditions. |
