Minor & James Medical has more than 20 Board-Certified General Internal Medicine specialists skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of diseases. In addition to expert evaluation and management of complex medical problems, they assist their patients in the proper selection, interpretation, and utilization of diagnostic tests and procedures. Our Internal Medicine specialists provide special expertise in preventive care, health maintenance, and health education. Areas of particular interest or expertise include adolescent medicine, AIDS, diabetes, eating disorders, geriatrics, hypertension, infectious disease, pain management, psychosomatic medicine, and women's health.
Internists have busy practices both in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic. Consultation with subspecialists may be obtained to help in the management of specific medical or surgical problems, but the Internist/patient relationship may span twenty or thirty years. Building a dependable and mutually trusting relationship assures that the highest quality of care can be enjoyed over an extended period of time.
