The Neurology Division at Minor & James Medical provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic services. The program places an emphasis on thorough diagnosis and the development of programs to help persons improve their functioning with acute and chronic conditions. The staff are trained to provide long-term follow-up care. The division coordinates care with physical and occupational therapy as well as community resources to assure care coordination.
The Minor & James Medical Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis program assures a thorough evaluation and management support for persons with MS. The program provides access to state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques as well as pharmaceuticals. The clinic places special emphasis on patient and care-giver support to cope with this challenging disease.
The EMG/Neuromuscular program provides clinical and electro-diagnostic evaluation by our fellowship-trained Neurologist. We diagnose and treat a wide range of neuromuscular disorders including peripheral neuropathy, ALS, muscle disease, spinal root disease and Myasthenia Gravis. In addition, physicians may refer patients for EMG and nerve-conduction studies by our fellowship-trained electromyographer without formal neurological consultation. |
