Our gastroenterology division is comprised of board-certified physicians who specialize in adult gastroenterology, hepatology (liver conditions) and screening for and treatment of colon polyps and cancer.

Our staff physicians are also experts in screening for and treating colon polyps and colon cancer.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), patients should begin screening for colorectal cancer soon after turning 50, then continue getting screened at regular intervals. However, some patients may need to be tested earlier or more often than other people if:

• You or a close relative have had colorectal polyps or colorectal cancer; or
• You have inflammatory bowel disease.

For your convenience, we also have a Medicare-certified Ambulatory Surgery Center where diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed on an outpatient basis. These procedures include flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and liver biopsy. Our modern endoscopy equipment utilizes the latest video technology, which allows us to view the internal areas of the body to prevent, diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions.
